Great news at the Universal Studios Hollywood, the Entertainmente Capital of Los Angeles, located on the Hills of Hollywood. It is surely a must-stop when people visit the city of angels but starting summer 2015 there will be a new reason to visit the them park: a new attraction inspired to the saga of Fast and Furious.
This new ride was revealed during the commercials of the Super Bowl. Its idea is to create a new finale to Universal’s world famous Studio Tour by surrounding visitors in the action of the popular film franchise. This is how it was presented by the Universal in a press release:
“Similar to the innovative King Kong 360 ride, the new addition to the tour will utilize a dynamic hydraulic motion-base ride. It will tell an original Fast & Furious story that fuses sophisticated hyper-realistic special effects with a 3D audio system and 3D-HD imagery, projected onto the world’s longest and most expansive 360-degree screen. Spanning nearly 400 feet in length to encircle Studio Tour guests within a newly constructed 65,000-square-foot structure on the legendary backlot, the sprawling custom-built screen will employ 34, 4K projectors and a sophisticated projection configuration system to fully envelope guests in unprecedented realism.”
“As Universal Studios Hollywood marks its 50th anniversary, this definitive and quite literal Fast & Furious thrill ride will propel guests into the action alongside many of the series’ heroes, just as the theme park itself is thrust into high gear as part of an epic five-year transformation” – said Larry Kurzweil, president of Universal Studios Hollywood.
The adventure will culminate with spectacular action sequences that send guests through the streets of Los Angeles, at perceived speeds in excess of 120 miles per hour, aided by the elite team of unforgettable heroes who will accompain the guests. “Fast & Furious – Supercharged” will reunite stars from the “Fast & Furious” series like Vin Diesel (Dominic “Dom” Toretto), Michelle Rodriguez (Letty Ortiz) and Dwayne Johnson (Luke Hobbs).
The fast and furious supercharged new attraction will debut at the Universal Studios Hollywood this summer…and we just can’t wait!
